Description Life zones and habitat: Montane. Wetlands and streamsides.
Plant: Erect or spreading perennial, thin, weak stem 2 to 8 inches long.
Leaves: Oblanceolate to rhombic or ovate, petiolate, opposite blades 1 to 2 inches long.
Inflorescence: White or pinkish flowers less than 3/4-inch across; 5 petals and stamens, 3 stigmas.
