Description Life zones and habitat: Montane to alpine. Meadows and slopes.
Plant: Erect perennial, leafless stem 1 to 2 feet tall supporting 1 to 3 flower clusters (umbels).
Leaves: Light-green compound leaves with finely dissected, fern-like leaflets.
Inflorescence: Large numbers of very small flowers, less than 1/4-inch across and with 5 white petals, clustered in groups of 6 to 12 in a flat umbel.
