Description Life zones and habitat: Alpine. Talus slopes, boulder fields.
Plant: Short perennial, up to 5 inches tall, usually hiding in rock crevices.
Leaves: Basal rosette, fleshy, spatulate.
Inflorescence: White to pink flowers, 3/4-inch across, 5 petals, yellow throat.
