Description Life zones and habitat: Montane and subalpine; moist, forested areas.
Plant: Short, mat-forming dwarf shrub, trailing stems up to 6 inches tall.
Leaves: Opposite, shiny oval to round leaves up to 1 inch long, edges may be toothed.
Inflorescence: Pairs of nodding flowers on hairy stems, narrow, bell-shaped, pink and white, 1/2-inch long.
