Description Life zones and habitat: Montane to subalpine (5500 to 11000 ft.); moist meadows, wet, boggy areas.
Plant: Erect perennial 4 to 12 inches high.
Leaves: Bright green, linear to oblanceolate or narrowly-elliptic basal and stem leaves.
Inflorescence: Small, white funnel-shaped orchid flowers with hood and small lip, arranged in a dense spike that spirals in longitudinal rows.
Bloom Period: July to September.
