Description |
Life zones and habitat: Montane and subalpine. Moist, shady areas in woodlands. Plant: Upright perennial 12 to 28 inches tall; grass-like. Leaves: Basal and stem leaves lanceolate with pointed tips; clump-forming basal leaves 5 to 7 inches long; 4 or 5 erect stem leaves, 3 to 4 inches long.
